"Remember Me"...you won't forget it

On Friday I asked a hot little thing to go to a movie with me, and she said yes...and she is my wife. Austin-Lee and I went to a movie, Remember Me. I've seen both vampire movies with Robert Pattinson and was interested if this chick-flick was gonna prove he can only be a vampire or if he is legit. (In my opinion, turns out not to be a chick-flick at all...watch the first minute and you would agree)

He is legit.

Of course he had the same mannerisms as Edward, the vampire, but he was very funny in a sarcastic sort of way, which is enough to be a legit actor for me or at least shows potential. Most times sarcasm has no redeeming value, but sometimes it's just funny.

I won't get into the movie too much, except on a line that Tyler (Pattinson) quotes a couple times: "Everything you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it." -Gandhi

This quote resonated with me, only after the best surprise ending to a movie I've ever seen.

I remember watching the Sixth Sense and that ending was not a surprise. M. Night Shyamalan films always have substantial signs that lead you to a corresponding ending...even in the Village.

"Remember Me" has one of the best endings to a film I've seen in a long time...all that I'll say is you have to go see it!

I give it a 1.5 thumbs up based of robshep's rating system (yeah I know Rob doesn't have half thumbs but you get the point):

Rob's Rating System: Two Thumbs up = I loved it, worth paying full price, and I will own it on DVD.
One Thumb up = An OK movie, worth a matinee showing, and I may buy it on DVD if I see it in the $5 bin.
Thumb to the side = Wait and rent it. I wouldn't be mad if someone gave me this DVD, but I wouldn't buy it.
Thumbs down = I hated it, wish I wouldn't have wasted money on it, wouldn't own it on DVD

  1. Other than the "skin scenes" you complained about and a bit of language I know we both liked it. It took me a bit, but I think the ending grew on me. Glad we went to see it!
