Pollen Sucks
I love the change of seasons. At the end of every season I am ready for the next to come. Spring might be the best season of the year except for the crap pictured above. The scent of fresh cut grass and fresh air, wearing flip-flops without freezing my toes, and relaxing in the cool evenings are some of my favorite things. But since I was a kid I've had allergies, and to me it seems to get progressively more severe each year. Fountains of snot pour out my nose, the inside of my eye sockets swell so that it starts to interfere with my vision on top of the endless fountain of tears. It perpetually feels like someone is pulling a cactus through my nasal cavity. I started taking Alavert with all the childlike hope I can muster that it might help. Claritin D never touched my allergies. I have learned a few practical techniques that hold of the gushing of mucus from the face: breath through my mouth, fight off sneezing (it becomes a slippery slope), wear sunglasses all the time so not to start rubbing my eyes (another slippery slope), and rinse my hands and face with water often. This morning has been ok even as the props of a Beechcraft King Air blew clouds of the yellow crap straight into me face...though I feel the itching is looming around my eyes and nose. This is a ranting post...I HATE POLLEN.

I'm not allergic, thank goodness...but watching you sneeze is ridiculous enough. :) Hope that medicine starts working!
