10k PR: 49:42

On Saturday, we ran another 10K, but this time it included more of the family: my two sister-in-laws (Amanda and Anna), my future bro-in-law (Cam), his dad (Tim), my wife (Austin-Lee), and myself. Everyone competed and finished really well. The race results are here. It's kinda odd because I can sit and study race results for a long time, gauging racer's ages and genders and hometowns to their times...I guess it's a means of comparing myself. This could be a healthy motivator or a compulsive urge...not really sure. This course was more difficult than the last 10k race because it was 50° hotter with a beast of a hill at the end. Got the best of some runners as they blew junks all over the road. My time, somehow was a minute and 13 seconds faster than my first 10k, which surprised me because I ran 2/3 of the race with cramps and developed a blister on my foot. I really have to figure how to alleviate my cramping. I am becoming kinda obsessed with running races because of the adrenaline and the personal goal to work towards in training and during the race. It's been about a month since the last race, and I don't think I've grown leaps and bounds in my running stamina or technique. However, running has become a reality in my life...I have to run 4-5 days a week to be satisfied. At the risk of sounding cheesy I have a great runner to look up to and a personal coach in my wife.
